Ben Goss Field Trip to Dorothy Carnes Park/Rose Lake. Meet at 9 AM. Located
NW of Ft. Atkinson off of Hwy 12. Bring a bag lunch. There are facilities
and picnic tables available and a large deck over-looking Rose Lake, which
is ADA accessible. We will scan for waterfowl on the lake and early migrants
along the trails. Plan to carpool, if possible.

Ben Goss Field Trip to Turtle Valley WLA in Walworth Co. Meet at 8 AM at the
usual parking area along Hwy P (south end at curve). We will scan for
waterfowl, shorebirds, western meadowlarks and other spring migrants as well
as possible upland sandpipers. Best to carpool since parking space is
limited.

Ben Goss Field Trip along the Glacial Drumlin Trail from Dousman to Sullivan
(6.5. miles one-way) The habitats are varied with marshes along the Bark
River, ag fields and woods. We’ll plan to stop periodically to scan for
birds. Meet at the Gazebo in Dousman at 9:30 AM. The trail is partly paved
and partly crushed limestone. A hybrid trail bike works best. We have an
extra bike to lend out. Bring a bag lunch. There are picnic tables and
restrooms in both Dousman and Sullivan. Rain date Sunday, May 30. If anyone
would prefer to walk part of the trail, that’s another option.

Sheboygan – Meet at the Marina in town at 8 AM.

Field Trip to the Columbia Ponds. Meet at Goose Pond at 8 AM.

Sunday Morning Bird Hikes led by Mike Fort
Meet at the Evergreen Shelter in the lower parking lot at 7:00 A.M.
A State Parks sticker will be needed for vehicle parking.
Lapham Peak is located about 1 mile
south of I-94 on Hwy. C. Entrance is on east side of road. State
park sticker required. Ponds, fields, woods.
BIRDS: Spring–ducks, geese,
herons, hawks, owls, woodpeckers (including Pileated), bluebirds, swallows
and other passerines.

Please note that parking in the
State Parks designated as fee areas require a Wisconsin Parks Motor Vehicle
Admission Sticker. These are available at the sites. A senior sticker cost
